LEARN ABOUT PROSEARCH + AI Q&As
ProSearch + AI Q&As is a growing library of questions about design patent prosecution and litigation, answered by ProSearch’s AI research assistant. Each entry shows the question as submitted and the unedited AI response, so you can see both what was asked and how the tool answered it.
What it draws from
The answers are generated from a substantial body of design patent material: over 72,000 design patent prosecution histories; case law from the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit, and the district courts; published and unpublished PTAB decisions; and the MPEP. That breadth lets the tool respond to specific, practice-oriented questions rather than only general ones.
How it works
We submit a question to ProSearch + AI, post the answer as received, and add an editorial comment where extra context helps. Any editorial comments are clearly marked and reflect our own notes, not the AI’s output.
How to use it
Browse or search the full library on the AI Q&As page. The search runs across the full text of every answer, so you can find relevant discussions by topic, case name, or terminology — not just by question title.
Accessing the source documents
Most answers cite specific prosecution histories and other documents from the ProSearch database. If you have an active ProSearch subscription, clicking a document link opens that document in a new tab. If you don’t have a subscription, the link takes you to the ProSearch sign-up page instead.
